Philosophy
It is my mission to provide the highest quality of care to each individual patient in a manner that is compassionate, personalized, and is on the leading edge of medical advancement. My goal is to relieve suffering in the best way possible for each patient that comes to me for help. Sometimes this is with surgery, sometimes it is with therapy, injections, medication, or other means.
While surgery is a powerful tool, it should be appropriately used. Each treatment plan will be determined after a discussion of the problem, a physical exam, review of imaging, and examining the lifestyle and goals of the patient. Conservative, nonsurgical measures are often the frontline treatments for musculoskeletal conditions. However there often comes a time where these measures have been maximized without the desired relief. When this happens, the patient and I work together to determine the next best steps for surgery including timing, location of surgery, recovery plan and expectations, pain management strategies minimizing opioids, and type of implant or surgical approach that will work best for each individual.
The doctor-patient relationship extends beyond the initial aftercare and recuperation period as I will follow my patients periodically for years after a surgery to ensure all is going as expected.
It is an honor to be able to care for the people in my community and I will treat each patient with the respect I would offer my own family.
